Product Features
  • Battery Backup
Supplies power to 1/2 HP (or less) sump pump during utility power outages for operation up to 120 minutes. The runtime is based on an intermittent sump pump operating at a 10% duty cycle.
  • Surge Protection
Diverts excess voltage away from sump pump during an AC power surge or power spike to prevent damage.
  • Plug-and-play Installation
Works with your existing sump pump, simple to set up, and doesn’t require professional installation.
  • Complete Solution
Includes everything needed to backup your sump pump, including batteries.
  • Audible Alarms
Provides audible notification of certain events such as running on battery power, low battery, or overload conditions.
  • Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR)
Increases the AC power and maintains a safe voltage level without switching to battery mode and conserving battery life.
  • Multifunction LCD
Displays immediate, detailed information on the UPS battery and power conditions, alerting users to potential problems.
  • Line Interactive Topology
Exists when a line interactive UPS has an autotransformer that regulates low voltages (e.g., brownouts) without having to switch to battery.
  • Simulated Sine Wave Output
Provides a manufactured waveform output to supply cost-effective battery backup power for equipment that does not require sine wave output.
  • GreenPower UPS™ Bypass Design
A patented design that allows utility power to bypass the UPS transformer, when AC power is stable, which reduces energy consumption, noise, and heat buildup.
  • Two-Year Warranty
CyberPower will repair or replace a defective UPS system (including batteries) within two years of the purchase date. See warranty for details.

What does the Wiring-Fault Indicator light mean?

What is the Wiring-Fault Indicator?

The LED indicator will illuminate red to warn the user that a wiring problem exists, such as bad ground, missing ground or reversed wiring.

What is bad ground?

If your CyberPower unit shorts out or there is a surge/spike in power, it can become a fire hazard by not properly grounding the wire to the earth ground that is connected to your house.

What is missing ground?

A missing ground can cause electrical shock.

What is reversed wiring?

This is caused by the hot and neutral wires being reversed in the wall outlet.

Solutions to try and diagnose the problem:

Try connecting the CyberPower unit into another outlet. If the wiring-fault light indicator is still illuminated contact an electrician to correct the problem with the faulty wall outlet.

Applies to CyberPower products:
Smart App Sinewave, Smart App LCD, PFC Sinewave, Intelligent LCD, AVR, PC Battery Backup, TAA Compliant UPS.

Note: some of the products in their series lines will not come equipped with the wiring-fault indicator light

Why does my CyberPower UPS product beep?

Reasons why your CyberPower product might beep:
UPS systems are designed to make beeping noises to alert users that the UPS is having difficulties by providing quick responses to specific issues.

Types of beeping noises:

  1. Beeping twice every 15-45 seconds: The problem with beeping twice noise is usually an indicator that the CyberPower unit is running on battery power only.
  2. Long solid beep: This is usually an indicator that you have overloaded your CyberPower unit.
  3. Rapidly beeping: This is usually an indicator that your CyberPower product’s battery is almost out of charge.

How to fix each of these beeping noises:

Beep twice every 15-45 seconds:

  1. Check to ensure that the unit is correctly plugged into the wall outlet.
  2. Ensure the wall outlet is functioning properly by unplugging your CyberPower unit and then plugging it into a different outlet.
  3. If the other wall outlet works, then you should still contact an electrician to repair the broke wall outlet.

Long solid beep:

  1. Unplug low priority electronics and plug them into the Surge-only outlets on your CyberPower product.
  2. If this doesn’t work, unplug the unit from the wall outlet after all the equipment have been unplugged from the unit.
  3. Note: this might be an indication that you need a new CyberPower unit that can keep up with the demand that is required.

Rapidly beeping:

  1. Turn off the UPS because it’s at about 25% battery and it’s going to shut off soon.
  2. Note: turning off the UPS means that the power is out and none of the outlets will work if you turn the UPS off.

Mute beeping:

  1. The devices user manual will contain the explicit instructions on which steps to take to mute beeping on your UPS.  Search for your model number in the search box in the navigation to find the product detail page. Locate the “Downloads” tab on the product detail page.  In the “Downloads” tab, you will find a link to the PDF user manual.

Do I have to have the UPS turned on in order for it to charge?

The UPS will charge the battery whether the unit is turned on or turned off.

How do I dispose of my UPS?

CyberPower Systems encourages environmentally sound methods for disposal and recycling of its UPS products. Please dispose of and/or recycle your UPS and batteries in accordance to the local regulations of your state.

Where is the serial number located on the UPS?

Your CyberPower product serial number (S/N) is located on a small white rectangle label located on the bottom or back panel of your UPS system. The serial number will appear in various places depending on the product you are referencing.

SX650U Serial Number

The label will have a barcode with a 12-character code right below it–this is your serial number. It may include your product’s model number and the words Made in China.
