Product Overview

The CyberPower FW1394-4-4 Firewire® cable (6 feet/1.8 meters, 4-pin to 4-pin, 400 Mbps) connects Firewire digital, video, and audio devices; external drives; or other other self-powered devices. Its 24k gold-plated copper contacts provide excellent conductivity for accurate high-speed (up to 400 Mbps) transmission of multimedia data.

The FW1394-4-4 cable offers plug-and-play technology and exceeds the latest IEEE 1394 standards for reducing electromagnetic/radio frequency interference (EMI/RFI). Molded construction relieves internal stress at the termination point and provides flex relief at the cable exit. The FW1394-4-4 comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

What is Firewire?

Firewire or FireWire® Cable is also known as IEEE 1394. The original release of IEEE 1394-1995 is now known as Firewire 400. It can transfer data between devices at 100, 200, or 400 Mbit/s. The cable’s maximum length is limited to 14.8 ft. (4.5 meters), but you can have up to 16 cables daisy-chained by using active repeaters, external hubs, or internal hubs.
