Yes, as long as the wiring is done correctly, there will be no issues.
Our sealed LCD panels include a clear, spray-resistant membrane. This membrane eliminates vulnerable gaps that exist between buttons and around the LCD screen insert. Custodial staff can spray, wipe down and repeatedly clean our sealed LCD screens without risking internal liquid damage.
The M1100XL can have up to two (2) additional battery packs (model BP36V60ART2U) added to it via the connection on the back panel. The M550L and M750L are not equipped for additional batteries.
Yes, however, the LCD panel will be easier to use when the UPS is in its standard orientation. If you choose to position the UPS unit in a non-standard position, make sure the fan on the back and at least one of the side vents are left unobstructed so the UPS has plenty of airflow.
An isolation transformer removes the physical path that current can flow on between two systems while still allowing them to exchange power. This enhances UPS performance and safety by suppressing electrical line noise and lowering the potential current on the UPS’s metal chassis.
The USB/Serial ports allow you to connect your UPS system to a computer and access additional power management features using our PowerPanel Business software. Note: PowerPanel Business must be installed on the connected computer. View the Downloads tab for additional information.
The green dots indicate that the UPS outlets and plug are certified as hospital-grade and may be used within patient-care vicinities.
A medical-grade UPS system has been tested to meet UL listing 60601-1 standards. These standards ensure the UPS system meets all designated feature and safety protections required for use within patient-care vicinities.
No. A direct USB or serial connection is required to manage this UPS unit with PowerPanel Business software.
Yes. Desktops, laptops, USB hubs/chargers, phones and other equipment can be connected to this UPS as well. It will provide electricity to them during a power outage just as it would with connected medical equipment.
No. Our medical-grade UPS units are designed and certified to meet UL 60601-1 requirements for use within patient care vicinities for non-critical care equipment. They have not been designed or certified for use with life support or other critical care equipment and should not be used for that purpose.
