CyberPower, the fastest growing manufacturer of innovative power protection equipment, has unveiled new environmentally-friendly Standby UPS systems that incorporate patented GreenPower UPS technology. The CP425SLG and CP550SLG UPS systems provide substantial energy savings, battery backup and power protection for home/office computers and connected electronics.
CyberPower’s new SLG Standby UPS systems have high-efficiency GreenPower UPS design, additional AC outlets, and USB connectivity ports to satisfy user demand for these popular features. The ultra-efficient patented GreenPower UPS design improves energy efficiency by significantly reducing the heat generated and energy consumed during normal utility power operation (up to 75% versus conventional UPS designs). During normal power mode, the GreenPower UPS design bypasses the automatic voltage regulator (AVR) and the transformer. This dramatically reduces the energy used and heat generated by the transformer during normal power operation.

Two models of GreenPower Standby UPS Systems are currently available:
- CP425SLG: 425VA, 8 total outlets — 4 Surge Protected outlets, 4 Surge/Battery Backup outlets (replaces the CPS425SL model)
- CP550SLG: 550VA, 8 total outlets — 4 Surge Protected outlets, 4 Surge/Battery Backup outlets (replaces the CP550SL model)
Models include surge protection, battery backup, telephone/fax/modem line protection, a compact, low-profile case, an HID-compliant USB connectivity port, PowerPanel Personal Edition Auto-Shutdown software, 5′ power cord with right-angle plug and connected equipment guarantees.
All CyberPower Standby UPS Systems are 100% RoHS compliant. RoHS aims to improve environmental conditions worldwide by strictly limiting the use of six hazardous substances: lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE).
